Trustees of the CAHP Foundation, a non-profit, charitable (501 (c)(3)) trust fund, administer four scholarships each year. The Creedon and Garibaldi and the Fran and Harry Xanders Memorial Scholarships are awarded to dependents of active or retired CAHP members. The Medal of Valor Scholarship is awarded to dependents of CAHP members who have been awarded the Medal of Valor, and the Herman L. Lenz Memorial Scholarship is available to dependents of any active California police officer or deputy sheriff.
The CAHP Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2013-2014 academic year. All materials must be received at the CAHP office no later than Thursday, July 18, 2013.
